Resistive technology offers excellent durability and resolution. It can be used in a variety of applications and environments.

Surface Acoustical Wave (SAW) technology offers high durability and can be used while wearing gloves.

Infrared (IR) technology is not as sensitive to damage as some technologies since its method of determining a touch is electrical, not mechanical. However, it is not recommended for Windows applications as it requires a slightly larger minimum touch target size for proper operation.

Capacitive technology offers durability and scratch-resistance. It is not affected by dirt, moisture, or grease that may come in contact with the screen.
