PAC-OP / PAC-PPC

Computer Dynamics has assessed product roadmaps for our PAC-OP/PPC Computers. We have identified key components at or beyond end of life and need to protect our customers’ interests by managing the end of the life cycle for our PAC-OP/PPC products. This letter serves as the official phase out notification for the PAC-OP and PAC-PPC product lines. If you have received this letter, you have been identified as a customer of this product.

The replacement products for this product line are not identical in form and fit. The part numbers for the replacement products will begin PAC-OPR and PAC-PPCR. The new drawings for the replacement systems are attached.

Computer Dynamics will take last time purchases on these products through December 1, 2006. We will offer product deliveries through December 2006 for orders placed by December 1, 2006. Computer Dynamics has developed an order placement schedule to meet the obsolescence timeframe:

1) First customer notification of planned obsolescence: October 2006.

2) Customers place final requirement quantities on non-cancelable, non-returnable orders beginning October 2006 and ending December 1, 2006 for final product deliveries through December 2006.

3) Support for the current PAC-OP/PPC systems will continue through CY2007 and will continue into 2008 for as long as we are able to support the product line.

4) The replacement PAC-OPR and PAC-PPCR products will be available for shipment December 2006.

Links to the mechanical details on the replacement systems are listed below. Note that due to new components, the sizes of the replacement systems are different. Additionally, to continue to offer competitive pricing on this product line, we have opted to start with a new baseline of systems using Pentium 4 processors and 512MB DDR memory. The superior processing performance offered in this line will be offered at the same pricing structure currently offered with our Pentium III PAC-OP/PPC systems.
